One of the students from my recent SketchUp Fundamentals for Furniture Design course contacted me recently. They wanted to model both houndstooth and secret dovetails and they wanted to model them quickly. I set up a screen sharing session to show them how I would do them using a couple of extensions. This video shows what I demonstrated for the student. I hope you find something useful for your modeling.
Here are links to the extensions I used. The Wudworx Dovetail tool and BoolTools 2 are not free but for the amount of time they save, I think they are well worth the small fees.
